Had a little flash of inspiration when this month's challenge over at Clarity Towers was announced and I worked on a similar heart yesterday so decided to move WAY out of my comfort zone and embrace brighter & more vibrant colours.
HATE them so will be heading back to the tones I much prefer but, waste-not-want-not & I thought I may as well enter it anyway.
I knew I wanted to use one of my favourite quotes from Clarity and the lovely Chinese Lanterns stencil - all the colour was applied using Brushos
but otherwise just bits'n'bobs from my, er, bits'n'bobs box!
I love both bright colors and warm colors and think this is a happy lovely piece
ReplyDeleteWow beautiful work must have taken you a long time certainly worth it good luck clarity challenge x
ReplyDeleteLovely use of colour Debbie. Must have taken a while to add the flowers. Thanks for entering the Clarity challenge this month. Good luck! x
ReplyDeleteBeautiful work Debbie! Love the way you've achieved the rainbow colours ascending up the heart matching the sentiment perfectly. A real grungy look to it too which I like a lot!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing it with us and I wish you luck in this month's Clarity Challenge.

ReplyDeleteYou may not like the colours Debbie, but they are lovely, and work perfectly with the sentiment. The Chinese lanterns provide great base texture for all your bits and bobs. Thanks for entering the Clarity challenge, and good luck. Xxx
