WELCOME to my little arty world! Trying to make art is a huge part of my life ... love nothing more than messing around with inks and sprays and generally making a mess!

WOYWW 600

Huge CONGRATULATIONS to the superstar that is our much loved Julia on her 600th Workdesk Wednesday over at The Stamping Ground

In the colder months my workdesk is a ever expanding corner of the dining room table - not ideal but it works for me - especially this year when there have been no family meals

So this is my desk right now - utter chaos from yesterday when I had a meltdown over everything I still have to do ... just please forgive the mess

Making boxes for some little *s*n*o*w*flake wooden blocks that will be given as gifts

Decided I wanted a little string bow as decoration on them so out came the old boingy tool thingy - noisy but does the job

The magnifying illuminating lamp is there as I tackle some little cross stitch tree decorations that one of the nephews & his wife ask for each year - you can just see a round white paint palette on the left (behind the chair) which is full of seed beads ready for me to get back to once this current frenzy is over

First Christmas card arrived yesterday - on the far left

Think the rest is all pretty straightforward

Happy 600th WOYWW & huge thanks to Julia for the ability to join I as, when & if we are able & for the friendships, love & support that you make possible

Lovely to see you, and such a wonderful desk. So many great things to look at, I don't know where you get all your ideas from. Keep up the good work.
    Take care and stay warm

  2. Happy 600th, gorgeous gal! I’m so glad our paths crossed via WOYWW, we’d probably never have met otherwise. Don’t apologise for your desk, it’s good to have a snoop. What on earth is a Boingy Tool Thingy though?? LOL, the mind boggles :-D

  3. Aah Debbie you are so creative but stop giving yourself such a hard time! You will get all done but take time to enjoy the process, it's half the fun of giving as you must know as you are so generous. I think I know what you meant by the boingy tool thingy - yes rather noisy, I've got a cropodile now!! Happy 600th WOYWW, have a lovely week, stay well, stay safe, Cindy xx #30

  4. Ah, the noting tool thing....yep noisy but so much better than being extricated as to where it can be used! Made me laugh though, it’s referred to in these parts as the ‘anywhere punch’, so you can tell why I had to enlarge and investigate! Gosh, even your gift boxes are gorgeous. Don’t worry about time now, it’ll all come good, it always does. As for untidy...oh please missus, you’re but an amateur!!

  5. Hi Debbie. Apologize??? Whatever for??? It's a busy time. You'll get there! Using your dining table sounds eminently sensible to me - just means eating dinner on your knee yet again - like me!
I have a daylight magnifying lamp just like yours - great isn't it. Extremely useful for cross stitch! As I get older I reckon the holes are getting smaller...
    Take care. God bless.

  6. Those snowflake gift boxes are incredible. I've never used a daylight magnifier lamp, but it looks like a good idea, especially for teeny tiny things we need to see up close. Happy 600th from #6.

  10. You certainly have a lot going on and I am doing the same as you - taking over the dining room table as we aren't having family round for meals - it's isolating enough being in lock down without hiding away upstairs in my studio!

  18. Lovely boxes, Debbie, and I agree that a magnifying daylight lamp is a great tool. My new one is supposed to have a dimmer switch but doesn't unfortunately, and it's a tad too bright for me!
