What is it they say about the best laid plans of mice and men? Well this mouses plans have gone pear-shaped for today. Had my WOYWW all planned - finally managed to get a result with the Vagabond and a new one should be with me today or tomorrow (of course, you can bet your last penny that it won't be today!!!) but decided I'd get another couple of February's cards made in the meantime ... but then I get a late night text from my sister ... "Deb, can you make me 20 wriggly-wiggly worms please? Out of material, for use outside. Oh, and a bag to keep them in!!!"
Just not in the mood for sewing ... at least not wriggly-wiggly worm sewing but Lil' Sis' wants so Lil' Sis' gets.
Am still determined, however, to participate in this weeks WOYWW so photo just shows a quick little card I made ... I'm into "postcard" style cards at the moment so this is one of them!
Wish me luck with the worms ... four down as I type and 16 to go!
Thank you for sharing a bit of your world with us WOYWWers this morning! I hope you have a wonderful week.have fun making loads of wriggly worms, I don't envy you that job!

I like the cards, but I also want know how you sew a wiggle worm!
ReplyDeleteLove the card, great wee worms x x Hugs May x x
ReplyDeleteGood luck with those worms, Debbie. I hope you are going to show us what they are, we are all intrigued. I have not started yet today. In fact I have not even found my sewing machine - can you guess that I am putting off the evil moment. Instead I made a rosette this morning from scratch, just by folding paper strips. I enjoyed that. Thanks for visiting this morning. xx Maggie #70
ReplyDeletePS I have another task to complete which is to see the best way to make bread in the caravan, so if you smell fresh bread at Eastnor, it will probably me me.
Well I shall be queueing up with my tub of Lurpak and a knife in my hand if the smells wafts from your caravan! I recently discovered that partly-baked bread and use that a lot in the caravan ... delicious hot rolls with soup and you get the fab smell without all the work!
DeleteThe worms are just very simple and VERY basic rolled tubes of fabric stitched down the edge and are nothing to look at ... they are only for the kids at the nursery where she works to play outside with! My fingers are sore (done 11 thus far) so am having a bit of a break.
I LoVe making rosettes ... would rather join you in those than be making worms! xXx
Lol, what's your sister going to do with 20 wriggly worms?? I like that card idea for birthdays. Hope you get your Vagabond replacement soon.

Vagabond has arrived! Just courage needed now to plug it in ... there was SO much smoke last time it kinda scared me a bit! Sister needs the worms for the nursery where she works for the kids to play with outside at forest school ... give 'em real worms I say! x

Have fun making those worms! Haha...I'm glad the request made sense to you. I think I'd be really confused if my brother sent me a request like that.
