WELCOME to my little arty world! Trying to make art is a huge part of my life ... love nothing more than messing around with inks and sprays and generally making a mess!

Overtired

Overtired this morning and I entirely blame Mr. Tim Holtz!!!!!  Just knew his "Compendium of Curiosities" would be the TSV on QVC and knew it would go like hot-cakes so just had to wait until its launch at midnight and then, of course, I couldn't tear myself away from watching the whole hour of the wonderful Mr. Holtz.
Didn't have the best of nights once I did finally get to bed and so am a bit in zombie-mode today.
Whatever happened to WOYWW last week I'll never know ... I was all ready on Tuesday and crafted away on Wednesday but then it was Thursday before I realised I'd missed it completely ... quite hopeless really.
Well, this was just a quick update as there are a couple of shows on QVC I want to catch today ... goes without saying whose shows I will be particularly waiting for and shall dip in and out of some of the others.
Just got to wait until end of March for my new Companion of Curiosities to come but its arrival will be eagerly anticipated!

  1. Thank you for popping over today, Debbie. Glad you liked my card. I have to say that I tend to go the same way with crafting as I used to go when I was buying material to make up for summer clothes. I prefer the clean fresh colours and designs rather than what I call muddy colours. So (don't have a heart attack here) I am not a major fan of Tim Holtz in general. I like some of his things, and would not be without my mini collection of Distress Ink Pads. It would be very boring if we all liked the same things, wouldn't it? Have a great time going through your Compendium when it arrives, and see you tomorrow on WOYWW. Love Margaret

    1. Got to laugh ... it's ok not to like Tim Holtz style! I have seen faces drop when I've given a card I've made along those lines as they don't quite grasp the concept but I do adore grunge and so shall continue to try and develop that style. You are quite right, it is a very good job we don't all like the same things! My sister-in-law was here and asking about various crafting bits and I showed her a box of Tim Holtz style tags I'd made and discarded because I wasn't happy with them and she just raved about them ... on in particular (the only one I did like actually) and I snuck it into her handbag when she went to the loo as a surprise for when she next opened her bag. She kept commenting on it and stroking it so I thought it was time to let it go! The rest are still rubbish though! Love Debbie xXx

  2. Well bummer, as soon as I read your post, I flipped the channel to QVC to see if there were any more crafting shows, but no such luck! It's worth being a zombie state the next day if you get a good deal !! ;) waving hi from the hills of North Carolina :)

    1. We had a whole day of crafting on QVC sandee ... I made a point of catching all the shows Tim Holtz did and then dipped in and out of a couple of others.
Got to say QVC here isn't (I find) the "good deal" it makes out to be ... as they were advertising stuff I was checking the prices with the company I use most often to get my goodies and they were often so much more expensive ... especially when you add on their p&p charges. It was "US Craft Day" by the way when all the crafters from your side of the pond come over. xXx
