WOYWW 142

Ha!!!! WOYWW ... am ready for you this week!  Last week I was ready for you on the Tuesday but then suddenly it was Thursday and somehow you snuck through without me noticing!
Am afraid my workdesk is only a work chair at the moment as I am in the process of deciding what I need to use today and dragging it in from my craft cupboard because I have to work in the dining room when it is so cold out in the conservatory.  We call the conservatory, The Hut, by the way but if I'd just said The Hut without reference to the conservatory then you wouldn't know what I was on about.  Not that I ever know what I am on about really.
Sooooo, the stuff piled on the chair is my Tim ***sigh*** Holtz  box and some papers and cardstock I have found by rummaging through my stash ... am quite determined to use what I have as some stuff has been hanging around for years and I'm getting a bit fed up of it to be honest.
On the table - most importantly - is my cup of coffee into which I have just dangled the end of the USB cable that I was trying to plug into my mobile 'phone in order to download my WOYWW photo's ... so it is your fault JULIA if it goes bang and fizzles a bit when I try!
In the background you can see my Vagabond and then my trusty old paper-trimmer ... am sticking to the butterfly (for ladies) or cogs (for men) "On the Edge" die cut borders all sewn on with string and I already have all the appropriate birthday-calendar-tab thingies printed out onto acetate so once I get going I should be able to get quite a few done today ... my aim is to do the whole of March and then anymore will be a bonus.
Right, must crack on ... it's WOYWW you know!!!!!

  2. Hope you have recovered now from the shock of reading my comment from yesterday. I don't know how you cope having to cart everything you want into the house to do anything. It is just so good to be able to stop in the middle of a project, leave it for a bit, and close the door onto it. Then I can go back and pick up where I left off. You will have to get Phil to convert a spare room in the house for you with a good view and warmth throughout the year. Have a good week. xx Maggie #11

    1. Still not sure if you will see this reply Maggie but thought I'd risk it?!?!?!?
I don't cope dragging my stuff into the house and it does affect my motivation levels I have to admit! If I am having a mega-crafting session then I do sort of shuffle it into a tidy pile at night and leave it but it does drive me potty! I was thinking about making the small bedroom "which we use as a non-existant office since we got the laptops" a dedicated craft-room but the trouble is, as much as I hate, loathe and detest the spring and summer months it is wonderful to open up both sets of French doors in The Hut on a warm day and even though we live on such a busy road it is often so quiet you can hear a pin drop. I'd miss that and would hate to be stuck away in a little room. Of course, warm socks and a woolly-pully would go some way to enabling me to craft in The Hut ... but I rarely do warm socks and never do woolly-pullies! D x

    1. Thanks SO much for dropping by ... I am pushing myself to drink more so that coffee was my start to the day. Unfortunately it was all I had to drink so am not pushing myself hard enough! My precious mom's name was Gwen so it was quite poignant seeing it here on my blog. Love from Debbie xXx

  6. Hope your Vagabond is behaving itself now. I am tempted as I think it looks great, but is that enough reason to buy I ask myself (often talk to myself, it's when I answer as well it is worrying).

I bought the TSV but managed to keep the card in the purse for the rest of the day - saving for a local craft fair next month.

See from a previous post that you went to Glen Coe in the snow. Beautiful and haunting place, I went years ago in June, climbed Ben Nevis and it was snowing at the top -see you don't have to wait for winter.

    1. You keep on talking to yourself ... at least you end up with the replies you were hoping for that way!!! I also managed to avoid buying anything else on Tuesday which is quite remarkable but I thought some of the prices were more expensive than the company I normally use for most of my Tim Holtz purchases ... especially once you add on the horrendous QVC p&p charges.
We never holiday in summertime but have seen Ben Nevis with *s*n*o*w* plenty of times in the Autumm ... beautiful and haunting, just as you say! Love Debbie xXx #89
Have no idea what blog candy is so will be off to your blog to find out! x

  7. Well usually I can follow you, but it was the clogs that pushed me over the edge, but then I realised they were cogs!

  8. When I opened your blog I did wonder if you had been up for the Tim Holtz extravaganza! I don't know if they sold out in the end but I got my TSV around 11am having said I wouldn't. I didn't think they did as many demos this year though - such a shame!

    1. I was indeed up for the launch as I figured it would be his new book ... glad you got yours! I agree and there were not so many demos ... I was pleased to see the Vagabond demonstrated but it got a little bit tedious I thought and would have loved to see him playing around with his inks and spritzers and dabby-thingies. Can't wait for the book to come ... patience is not really my thing so it is going to be a long time until the end of March! Love Debbie xXx

  10. Never mind the phone...i hope the coffee is Ok...hahaha

Seriously, that sounds like something I would do.

I would love to have a conservatory to scrap in. I scrap in a basement room with no wondows. I would love to throw open the french doors and feel the breeze on a hot day. Sadly, conservatories are not popular here.

    1. "A basement room with no windows" ... just popped along to your blog to take a peek and WOW ... your windowless basement room is simply WoNdErFuL!!!!! But I know what you mean about the breeze on a hot day though. We have been saying we must get around to getting blinds for the roof of the conservatory so it will be warmer in winter and cooler in summer but somehow we just never get there! Happy WOYWW'ing! xXx
