WOYWW 144

Such a boring workdesk so far today ... having not yet really got going!  But it is WOYWW day so I figured any photo' is better than no photo' and I promise you it will not be as tidy as this in a couple of hours time!
Whilst having my major sort-out yesterday I found a box labelled "Cosmo Cricket Christmas" that I must have had for a couple of years or so now and had completely forgotten about.  In fact, I have had it so long my style has changed and I am unlikely to ever use it as was intended.  BUT a close inspection of the papers revealed they were not particularly Christmassy at all and will do very nicely in continuing my butterflies/cogs birthday card theme for this year.  I was sad to run out of my regular Cosmo Cricket stash of papers but am quite inspired again having come across these.
Be sure to head over to Julia's fabulous Stamping Ground and make the most of the opportunity to visit lots of other workdesks!!!

  2. Cool, finding boxes of old stash, like shopping without the expense!! My motto for the day is 'Forget the tidying and get creating!'

  6. You have been very busy on the blogs today. I am desperately rushing round answering all the lovely people who have posted on my blog today. I suspect you are well ahead of me today in that. I am also desperate to get out into the greenhouse to pot up the first instalment of plug plants that have just arrived this afternoon. By the way, there is no pressure on the challenges. It is just for fun, and a way to develop new techniques. I don't enter to win, and if I cannot come up with an idea I am happy with, then I don't enter that one. Have a good week, playing with your newly found papers. (You could enter the results in Pixie's Snippets challenge each week. We have a lot of fun in the playground there, playing on the swings and the seesaw. Maybe see you there? xx Maggie #8

  10. Ooh, it's always fun to find something you forgot you had! I look forward to seeing how you will use these (not necessarily xmas) xmas papers!
Do you remember last week's WOYWW when you inspired me to dig out the ATCs I had thrown in the recycling? I did manage to finish them and I quite like how they turned out! I hope you get a chance to drop by and see! Thanks for the inspiration!

  14. See, I'm so late I know why and all about the cogs! I'm still a bit of a fan of Cosmo, although I haven't any at present..as my girl grows, they seem to be too young...but the Christmas papers are timeless, hope you enjoy the find!!

  15. Hi there Debbie sorry I'm late this week and didn't even get to say hi last week. I am retired but seem to have less time than when I worked full time as a teacher.
You have a Vagabond - I can't decide if I should get one or not. I have a birthday coming up and could ask DH for it as my birthday gift. I notice you are in Solihull - I am on border of South Walsall and North Birmingham. Thanks for visiting me last week. Anne x
